UKLTA announces formation of Board structure

Executive and Members Board Committee members appointed

The UK LegalTech Association (UKLTA) has announced the formation of its Board structure which comprises an Executive Board and a Members Board. The Executive Board is responsible for leadership and governance of the Association, whilst the Members Board is responsible for representing the interests of the diverse membership to the Executive Board.

The initial Executive Board comprises Matt Pennington as Chair joined by Rob Hosier (from inCase), Pippa Shepherd (Arken Legal), Robyn Weatherley (Thirdfort) and Cat Wolfenden (Weightmans) providing a balance between technology companies and law firms.

Matt Pennington, Chair of UKLTA commented ‘I am delighted that we have such a great group of people to steer the Association through its first stage of development and each member of the Executive Board brings a wealth of talent, experience and enthusiasm. UKLTA is distinctly different from any other organisation in its Mission to be the forum that shapes the future of legal services in the UK through the use of technology by bringing together legal professionals, technology providers and consumers of legal services. Our new Executive Board is uniquely equipped to take this Mission forward.’

The Executive Board is supported and informed by a wider Members Board comprised of representatives drawn from the wider UKLTA membership. With a range of technology companies, law firms, and individuals with associated interests represented on the Members Board there will be a broad base of input to help inform and advise the Executive Board in delivering the UKLTA Mission.

Matt added ‘Our membership is growing fast and it is important that we have the right structure and people in place to propel UKLTA forward as part of the wider international Legal Tech community.’
